There is just something about fall activities that call for a good snack. Whether you’re out on your favorite Haunted Trail or picking apples in the local orchard it’s always a good idea to bring a fun treat with you. This Haunted Trail Mix is the perfect combination of salty and sweet tastes for any of your favorite fall activities.

You can use any of your favorite combinations of crackers, pretzels, and candies to make your unique blend or just use what you have on hand. However, the blend used in this recipe seems to be just the right combination for my tastes and I think you’ll truly enjoy it too!

How to Make Haunted Trail Mix for Fall

This recipe is so easy to put together that I’m not even sure that I can even truly call it a recipe. Perhaps a combination of things I like together? Either way, it should take you just minutes to whip up a batch of this delicious fall trail mix.

Now, I know that not everyone likes candy corn. You’re wrong ( I kid…kinda) That’s fine. You can just use another blend of candy or pick them out of the pre-bagged blend of candy that we are using for this recipe.

ingredients for haunted trail mix

3 C Bugles snack crackers

2 C Chex muddy buddies ( or homemade puppy chow)

1 C salted peanuts

2 C pretzel sticks ( or your pretzel shape of choice, Utz makes cute Halloween shaped ones! )

1 pkg Brachs Buncha Crunch Halloween Mix

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and use a spatula to gently blend everything. (Yup, that’s it!)

How to Store Haunted Trail Mix

This Haunted trail mix will last for about a week when stored in an airtight container. I like to store mine in a resealable bag but any airtight container will do well. I generally don’t recommend freezing anything with chips or pretzels in them as they can get a little soggy when they are thawed out again.
